About

Bio:

Born in 1996 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, I have had a life-long urge to draw, paint and design. My training is mostly autodidactic, with part-time courses at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and Charles H. Cecil Studios in Florence. In addition, I studied Art History at the University of Amsterdam.

My work:

I am fascinated by the oil glazing technique. Coloured transparent layers form a deep film and help me make the illusion of space in a painting.

The visual idiom I use varies and so do the subjects I touch upon, but they often have to do with solitude and the act of experiencing.
